What can I use Balcas energy Wood Pellets for?
The use of wood pellets depends on the objective. Pellet fuel can be used for various reasons: from 100% carbon neutral heating (home and/or business) to horse bedding, for example. Please see the below list of what our locally produced pellet fuel can be used for:
- As a replacement for coal in electricity generation
- For home heating in a boiler or stove
- Commercial space heating
- Animal bedding
- Animal litter trays
- Industrial heat processes
- Heating of commercial buildings
- Barbeques
- Pizza ovens
- Heating of public sector buildings such as hospitals.

Everything you need to about our wood pellets for the Winter 2022 heating season.
As we all know, there is currently a very high demand for our locally produced wood pellets due to a shortage in the market due to the stoppage of imports. Many of these imports were previously of Russian origin and are no longer available.
To avoid potential shortages this winter, we have restricted our ordering of bags to 1 pallet per customer of 75x10KG and are only taking orders up to 6 weeks in advance for bags and bulk wood pellets. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause but we are doing this to ensure all our customers can avail of our locally produced pellet fuel.
At this time, we do not know how long this shortage of wood pellets will last which is why we are strongly recommending early ordering.
Many Thanks,
Balcas Energy
