Here at Balcas energy, we are expecting a very busy season and strongly recommend all our customers to order as in advance as possible to benefit of the current lead times and avoid soon-to-come longer waiting times.

As we all know, there is currently a very high demand for our locally produced wood pellets due to a shortage in the market due to the stoppage of imports. Many of these imports were previously of Russian origin and are no longer available.

At this time, we do not know how long this shortage of wood pellets will last which is why we are strongly recommending early ordering.

TAKE NOTE – Our production is working at total capacity and we are producing pellets 24/7 to meet the needs of as many wood pellet users as possible.

What does this mean for the wood pellet industry?

Due to the shortage and rising costs, our locally produced wood pellets have been in very high demand.  In regards to the increasing price, the price of our wood pellets has increased due to a combination of rising costs such as energy, transport, wood fibre, and the market shortage caused by global events.
