Wood stove pellets might be the cleaner alternative to heat your home, following UK Government banning Household Coal fires.
UK Government announced phasing out the sale of Coal and Wet Wood for household stoves and open fires. Therefore, owners of wood burners, stoves, and open fires can no longer buy coal. The ban starts from next year.
Sales of the two most polluting fuels will be phased out to help cut air pollution, the UK government says.
The UK government is advising all public to move to “cleaner alternatives”.
The Govt first announced the pending ban 18 months ago. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has now confirmed it is going ahead.
